At approximately 05:15 Israel time (UTC +2) a rocket launched from the Gaza Strip hit a home in Central Israel, injuring 7 persons, including children.
This follows last week’s rocket attack on Tel Aviv and the area, which Hamas claimed was in error, and yesterday’s stabbing attack on 2 prison wardens by Hamas inmates at the Ktizot Prison, which left one warden moderately injured.
Israel is expected to retaliate heavily on Hamas targets in Gaza, but the extent of which is still unclear. Ground operations seem unlikely at the moment, but they can’t be ruled out.
